Here is Where I Am Going in 2019

Are you the type of person to plan out a majority of your travels pretty far in advance? It has become pretty common for me to have all my vacation spoken for for the following year before the year even starts. 2019 is a good example of that! I love having something to look forward to. Somehow, all of my traveling is happening January to June so I might actually be able to enjoy a full Seattle summer.. which hasn’t happened in a few years. It has become my goal to travel to 2-3 places I have never been before. Some trip destinations are out of my control as they are trips with friends, bachelorette parties, or weddings.

January: Anaheim / Pasadena, California

What a better way to kick off the new year than a quick trip to LA. This was a last minute trip as my husband’s beloved UW Huskies made it to the Rose Bowl.

January: San Jose, California

I am taking a quick flight down to San Jose to see my old college roommate. It has been a few years since I have seen her so I am excited for that!

January: Lake Chelan Washington

Ski towns are famous for their Fire and Ice Festivals. I have never been but am getting a chance to go with some friends. This weekend will entail snow, wine and lots of good food.

February: Las Vegas, Nevada

This will be my third trip to Vegas for work. Each time my friend and I head down a day early to run some work errands and then have some fun. I can’t wait to show you the few things we have planned!

February: The Big Island of Hawaii

I got a notification on my Facebook the other day that the last time I was on the Big Island was ten years ago! It definitely doesn’t feel like it has been that long. I am going for my cousins wedding and am excited to have eight days to spend showing my husband around the island. If you missed one of my posts from about a year ago, I actually studied at UH Hilo the summer after I graduated high school.

May: Italy and Greece

I am so excited to be back in Europe! I was just in London briefly back in September. This time around we will be going to:

  • London for a half day layover
  • Santorini.. Hello Airbnb with a cave pool
  • Athens to check out the Parthenon
  • The Amalfi Coast (Sorrento, Naples, Capri, Positano
  • Rome
  • Florence
  • Tuscany… Wine please!
  • End our trip in Venice!

May: Medford, Oregon

We must be crazy… We fly directly from London to Seattle.. Stay in the airport and head straight to Medford for our friend’s wedding over Memorial weekend! Let’s just say it is going to be a crazy 17 days of travel.

June: Hood River, Oregon

In late June, I will head to Hood River to see my old college roommate get married! Well.. She technically gets married across the river in Washington!

June: Nashville, Tennessee

Just a few days later I will be heading to Nashville for a friend’s bachelorette party. I have never been before and am not really a country gal, but I can’t wait to eat, drink and take in the atmosphere!

One year anniversary

So at this point all my work vacation time is gone, but I may have one day to make our trip a long weekend. I’m currently thinking New York after everything is decorated for the holidays.

December: Lake Chelan again!

Winter. Wedding. And the ceremony is going to be outdoors! I am excited to be able to help my friend plan the decor and potentially have her rent some inventory from my business!

I still can’t believe that for the past few years, my travels have really fallen into place a year in advance. It really keeps me motivated and working toward something throughout the year.
