How to Have an Amazing Girl’s Weekend in Nashville, Tennessee

In the last 4 months, I have found myself in Nashville 2 times! Now, the thing you need to know about me is that I am not a country music fan. If you also aren’t and think you wouldn’t enjoy Nashville because of that, then you are WRONG! Nashville is so much more than just country music! Broadway is amazing for a great night out, there are some great breweries to check out, and mural hunting is a must! I have compiled a list of things you must do in Nashville for an amazing girl’s weekend.

🏢 Where to Stay

The first thing you want to figure out is where to stay. If you are visiting Nashville during the warmer months, then being able to walk everywhere is ideal. I highly recommend staying at @thenashvillas. Not only is the location great for a walk/electric scooter or Uber ride, but the units are super cute! One unit is decorated in a Dolly Parton theme and the other is decorated in a cowboy disco theme! There are Instagrammable spots all over (hint: be sure to pull down the murphy beds for a fun surprise). Each unit sleeps 6 and if you are having a bachelorette party of 12, then rent both! The units are right next to each other.

🥞 Brunch

Anzie Blue

  • Address: 2111 Belcourt Ave, Nashville, TN 37212
  • Reservations: Make a reservation on Open Table
  • This is a super cute, Instagrammable brunch spot with a great line up of coffee options.

Frothy Monkey

  • Address: 2509 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
  • Reservations: This is first come, first served
  • Frothy Monkey is a great coffee house. If you want to order something for takeaway, you can walk right in and order from the counter. If you want to sit down, you will need to check in with the hostess. I definitely recommend any of their homemade poptarts, and I really enjoyed their breakfast sandwich.

Biscuit Love

  • Address: 316 11th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Reservations: This is first come, first served
  • Biscuit Love is super popular (even on the weekdays!). When I visited, I ended up waiting in a line for over an hour..in June…in 90 degrees! However, it was worth the wait. You order at the counter and take a number to your seat. I recommend the Bonuts, the Egg plate and anything served with their biscuits.

Acme Feed and Seed

  • Address: 101 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201
  • Reservations: This is first come, first served
  • This restaurant can fill up fast and have a long line. At Acme you order at the front, take your number and they will deliver your food. I was definitely expecting typical brunch food, but Acme has a bunch of good food including: tacos, grits, and salads. Try the watermelon slush from the bar! I heard it was good! Don’t forget to also check out the views from the roof of Acme Feed & Seed!

Sixty Vines

  • Address: 5055 Broadway Pl Suite 3200, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Reservations: Make a reservation on Open Table
  • This is a gorgeous restaurant right on Broadway in the new Assembly Food Hall area. The restaurant is super light and airy and has a great mimosa bar. They sell the sparkling wine by the bottle for $30. Food was okay, but the avocado benedict was more like avocado toast. You are definitely going here for the atmosphere.

Red Bicycle Coffee & Crepes

  • Address: 1200 5th Ave N STE 104, Nashville, TN 37208
  • Reservations: First come, first served
  • This is a great little coffee shop that makes some delicious crepes and coffee. I ordered one of their specialty lattes and a breakfast burrito!

🍔 Lunch / Dinner

Hampton Social

  • Address: 201 1st Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201
  • Reservations: Make reservations on their website
  • This is such a cute multi-level restaurant. You can choose to sit in the restaurant or up on the rooftop. I highly recommend their espresso martini or the froze. For food, we opted to eat family style and order a bunch of dishes to share. We LOVED everything! What to order: Lobster and Brie Dip, Avocado corn pizza, Hampton caesar salad, spicy rigatoni pasta, roasted brussel sprouts, and donut drops!

O-Ku Sushi

  • Address: 81 Van Buren St, Nashville, TN 37208
  • Reservations: Make a reservation on their website
  • This place is delicious. We decided to order family style as well so we could all try a few different rolls. We ordered: sushi tacos, playboy roll, shogun roll, Tennessee two step, and Nashvegas

Sun Diner

  • Address: 105 3rd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201
  • Reservations: First come, first served
  • This is the best spot right off Broadway for a light night meal. They are open from 7PM – 3AM! I really enjoyed their breakfast burrito!

Bartaco

  • Address: 2526 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
  • Reservations: Download their app to join the waitlist or call
  • We were a party of 15 so I am not sure if they always serve “family” style. Meaning, they will batch your order with 3 other peoples orders. Your tacos will all come out together on a platter where the waiter will then help you grab your tacos. These tacos were REALLY good! I decided to pick a few unique ones to try. I got cauliflower, portobello, swordfish and pork belly. They were all delicious. The cauliflower had a surprising kick to it!

The Mockingbird

  • Address: 121 12th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Reservations: Reservations via Opentable
  • Mockingbird is a great spot for some great food. Each day / week they come up with a new drink that you can get served in a capri sun style bag. I definitely recommend the Seoul Purpose!

🍸 Drinks

White Limozeen (The Dolly Bar)

  • Address: 101 20th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Reservations: Make a reservation for indoor dining via Resy. Outdoor is first come first served.
  • This is a spot you have to come to. The pink decor alone makes it a very Instagrammable place. You can’t go wrong with any of their drinks and we also enjoyed their meats and cheeses platters.

Yee Haw Brewing

  • Address: 423 6th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Reservations: First come, first served
  • I love Yee Haw. It’s such a fun place to come enjoy a beer or even some moonshine!

Geist

  • Address: 311 Jefferson St, Nashville, TN 37208
  • Reservations: Make a reservation via Open Table
  • I went here for drinks, but I am told their food is incredible. I definitely recommend the Barracude cocktail: white rum, coconut, ube and pineapple.

Arrington Vineyards

  • Address: 6211 Patton Rd, Arrington, TN 37014
  • Arrington is about 30 minutes outside of Nashville. The grounds are beautiful and there are several places to enjoy some wine, both inside and outside. There is a place to get some food. I ordered a salmon and cream cheese plate and there were a lot of girls who ordered the peach flat bread! It was so refreshing. The wait for wine tasting can be long, so I recommend either walking to the building near the cars to get a tasting flight, or buying a few bottles and enjoying it on the property. There was also live music in the pavilion! Be sure to buy a few extra bottles to enjoy with dinner.

LA Jackson

  • Address: 401 11th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Reservations: First come, first served
  • LA Jackson is located at the Thompson Hotel. There is a deck with a cool view of Nashville. Though it isn’t as picturesque as the Nest at the Thompson Hotel in Seattle, it is a great atmosphere with delicious truffle fries and frozes!

Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery

  • Address: 1414 Clinton St, Nashville, TN 37203
  • My husband loved doing the whiskey flight. I enjoyed a spicy Bloody Mary with vodka.

Monday Night Preservation Co (Brewery)

  • Address: 1308 Adams St, Nashville, TN 37208
  • This was one of my favorite breweries! The brewery is in an old meat packing facility and there is an outdoor beer garden in the old boiler room. Part of the building is crumbling and if you know me, you know I LOVE ruins / old things!

Bearded Iris Brewery

  • Address: 101 Van Buren St, Nashville, TN 37208
  • This brewery has a cool vibe to it. The bar is an old dark wood bar and with some of the decor it reminds me of an old Victorian place.

The Gulch Murals

Large What Lifts You Up wings

  • Address: 302 11th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
  • These are right next to the large wings. You have to sit on the ground, so get creative!

Lego Murals

  • Address: 210 12th Ave S #100, Nashville, TN 37203

🎳 Things to Do

John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge

  • On any given day / night, you will find this pedestrian bridge filled with people. You can get some of the best views of downtown Nashville / Broadway from this bridge!

Topgolf

  • Address: 500 Cowan St, Nashville, TN 37207
  • Topgolf is just one of those fun things to do as a group. If you are looking for something fun to do with a few spare hours, I recommend Topgolf.

Pins Mechanical

  • Address: 1102 Grundy St, Nashville, TN 37203
  • Pins is another fun group activity spot. There is not only bowling (reserve WAY ahead of time), but there are also a bunch of arcade games. Plus, there are drinks you can enjoy while you are there.

Pinewood Social

  • Address: 33 Peabody St, Nashville, TN 37210
  • Everything about Pinewood Social is cool! It is in a cool brick building that has a coffee shop in the front, a bar in the middle and a bowling alley in the back! That’s not all, head outside where you will find lawn games, an Airstream serving drinks and food, two small pools, and an outdoor bar serving froze slushies (if you have never had one, you need to!)

Double Decker Bus Tour

  • Tour
  • There are a bunch of double decker bus tours and they leave from the riverfront bus stop right by Acme Feed & Seed off Broadway. We chose one that had an open air upper deck. The tour took us to the main sites of Nashville, while giving us the history of the city. I really enjoyed it, but at the end of the hour we were all dying of heat on the top deck. I also recommend checking out The George Jones pub for a beer and also Nashville Underground after your tour for some fried green tomatoes and hot chicken!

Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum

  • Address: 222 Rep. John Lewis Way S, Nashville, TN 37203
  • This museum was pretty cool! There were a few walls of records, lots of clothing that the singers had worn on tour and some interactive spots. I would recommend! This tour costs about $28

New Boots Line Dancing

  • Address: 1420 3rd Ave S #106, Nashville, TN 37210
  • Take line dancing lessons at New Boots line dancing. We got a 1 hour private class where they showed us a basic dance to start and a slightly more difficult one last. We got to choose which dance we wanted to perform and have filmed. The class costs $30 per person! PS. I would share the video, but it’s pretty embarrassing!

🛍Shopping

Stoney Clover

  • Address: 2707 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
  • I’m not a Stoney lover, but I know it has gained a lot of popularity in the last few years (including a collab with Target). There is a Stoney Clover store on 12 South. I popped in, and some of the things are pretty cute!

Draper James

  • Address: 2608 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
  • Draper James is Reese Witherspoon’s store. There are a bunch of cute clothing items, her Reese bookclub picks and accessories. Most of the items are pricey, but great investment pieces if that is your style.

Studs

  • Address: 5064 Broadway Pl, Nashville, TN 37203
  • I wasn’t exactly planning to get my ears pierced in Nashville, but I had been thinking about getting another one at some point. STUDS is an ear piercing shop where they specialize in a curated ear. They have a bunch of different earscape sets.

Nash

  • Address: 5061 Broadway Pl, Nashville, TN 37203
  • I love The Nash Collection. Their merch is super classy and not your regular Nashville tourist merch.

Boot Barn

  • Address: 318 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201
  • There are a lot of cute clothes and boots to choose from here!

Uncommon James

  • Address: 601 9th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203
  • This shop is all the rage because of her show, Very Cavallari on E! Network. The jewelry pieces are super pretty, but a bit expensive if you aren’t a huge jewelry person.
