I’ve Been Married for 1 Year. A Reflection of My Last Year of Travels With My #travelpartnerforlife

People always ask: “Does it feel different being married?” and I always answer “no.” Signing a piece of paper shouldn’t mean that there should be a big change. Part of dating and getting to know someone is that you get to know everything about them…all of their quirks and all of their opinions on life!!

July 25, 2015

We had our first date at 10PM. Yes, 10PM. His sister turned 30 and had her birthday dinner that day, so we met up at 10PM. We started at the RAM and ended at Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery.

We got engaged! We were on vacation in Europe. He popped the question at the Edinburgh Castle over looking the city of Edinburgh! A castle was the PERFECT location. The first picture is Michael trying to get me close to him. He said “let me take a selfie”, which he NEVER says. The second photo we had moved to another part of the castle. I knew at that point something was up so started just taking photos of the view. The last photo is right after we got engaged!

Engagement Photos

Being the “bougey” couple we are, we decided to have 2 engagement photo sessions! One in the winter and one in the spring.

September 2, 2018

In front of our closest family and friends, we were married in Seattle, Washington at the University of Washington. Anyone who knows my husband, knows he is a die hard UW Husky fan. SWIPE if you want to check out a small collection of our photos!

AND I am also sharing my wedding video. Only a few people have seen it so far!

Not only have we been a traveling couple since the moment we started dating, but the travel was turned up a notch the last year! We made some of the BEST memories and a bonus, some of those travels included our friends! Here is a recap of our travels as a married couple!

Oh, and guess what? I have blogged about almost all of these locations!
